Welsh Assembly Webcasting
Rantmedia is thrilled to have been involved in delivering this exciting website to the National Assembly for Wales. Working in collaboration with Eclipse Creative and the Barcud Derwen Group, Rantmedia's responsibility was to build a comprehensive video asset and content management system, a scheduling tool and a flexible search facility. We were also responsible for integrating the design, adding bilingual capability and deploying the finished application.
Management System
We built a bespoke website management system specifically for the National Assembly for Wales. Amongst many other things, it allows the admin team to manage live stream availability, provision new video assets, set agenda points and enter the upcoming schedule. All changes that are made in the system are immediately indexed by the search engine and become available to the visitor.
The website is capable of streaming 32 different live streams (4 locations at 4 quality levels in 2 languages) as well as a back catalogue of archived content.
