Action Duchenne
Using our eCharity social networking framework as a base we created a fantastic community and donations website for Action Duchenne. Visitors can become members of the site allowing them to participate fully in the community features including many found in:
- Facebook (profiles, status, friends/contacts, private messages, wall posts, notifications)
- Twitter (microblogging and blogging)
- Wikipedia (fully moderated wiki knowledgebase - making the most of user-generated content)
- Just Giving (members create events which are sponsorable directly on the website - all revenue goes to the charity)
Added to this, we created a custom lobbying tool - 'Mail Your MP' to make it easier for members to lobby their MP, single-sign-on forums and an ecommerce merchandise shop.
The website built by Rantmedia has enabled us to provide a one-stop shop for families living with Duchenne. It has enabled us to combine all the best aspects of social websites with our knowledgebase and our online store. We are delighted with our new web presence and have had plenty of very positive feedback.
